Well here is the deal, me and the wife are thinking about hiring someone to help around the house. We are not sure if we want to hire a house helper, who does everything around the house, i.e. laundry cooking cleaning...... or get a nanny, that would be responsible for chelsea and vince all day. So its nanny or house helper, what do yall think?

If a housekeeper, make sure you get a Kapangpangan lady. If a nanny, make sure she actually cares about your kids. Sorry, can't help beyond that.

Why not, they are cheap here, 100 bucks amonth starting and after 3 months it goes up by 10 bucks if you want to, plus they do everything, clean, cook, laundry, EVERY thing that needs to be done around the house.

Jai, anyone w/ money in the Philippines has a small army of maids. Its just how its done there. The poor need money and the rich (Filipinos) still act like colonialists. Most of the GNP comes from international domestic labor. All the trade "agreements" between the US and China destroyed most of the industries there.

I think a house keeper will be just fine they do a lot of what your looking for. Nanny would be nice too but I think it still might be better for a house keeper. He does make a good point if you get a nanny you need to make sure they are Truly a dedicated Nanny. Someone who is there not only for the money but for the love of the job.
