I thought it would be entertaining to start a list of words that just strike you as funny, weird, or odd. It can range from long ass weird scientific words, words that have a meaning that is not what you would think, or words that when you say out loud just sound odd to you. I'll start it off and see how this goes :P

I dunno I always thought "Door" was a weird word when you say it out loud to yourself. Try it, and emphasize the D. Just sounds odd. lol Zappy makes me think of Marvin the Martian!

Ubersplat. I don't know what it means, but I like the sound it does when I say it outloud ( with my accent it's likely 3x better )

lol poor cream. On another note...Flaucinaucihillipillification. Yes its a word. Is it spelled correctly? Probably not. Here is the kicker. The definition is "An estimation of something worthless" Perhaps like this word?

I have this great simpson shirt. It's a three cartoon panel set up with Homer Simpson. First panel is him saying "Doh!" Next is "Nuts!", and the third has him drooling saying "mmmm doughnuts"

Antidisestablishmentarianism.

The longest accepted word in the english language. ...Like what the fuck is the point. They could have just said the opposite of the opposite of establishmentarianism. but no. antidisestablishmentarism. 28 letters.

Oh and Holy, your word is: Floccinaucinihilipilification - means "the act or habit of estimating or describing something as worthless, or making something to be worthless by deprecation," though it is not commonly accepted in the English language.

Its first use in literature at 1741 in William Shenstone's Works in Prose and Verse:
"I loved him for nothing so much as his flocci-nauci-nihili-pili-fication of money".
A combination of latin words to make humor of the subject.

The word is said to have been invented as an erudite joke by a student of Eton College, who, upon consulting a Latin textbook, found four words connoting 'nothing' or 'worthless', combined them, adding compound suffixes -i-, and (as in e.g. , from facio, "to make or do")

* floccus, -i a wisp or piece of wool, used idiomatically as flocci non facio ("I don't give a hoot")
* naucum, -i a trifle
* nihil, -is nothing; something valueless (lit. "not even a thread" from ni+hilum)
* pilus, -i a hair; a bit or a whit; something small and insignificant

yay. learn something every day. :)
